Role - To receive and respond to requests for use of health information, in accordance with state and federal laws and CareSpark policies and priorities.

Role - To oversee the process for conducting an independent audit of the organization's financial records. Members and Charge
Privacy
Role - To support the CareSpark board of directors and other committees by providing effective collection, use and access/release of protected health information (PHI) as defined by the Administrative Simplification regulations as part of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 and any other applications; e.g., FERPA, FISMA. The CareSpark Privacy Committee governs the development, implementation, maintenance and adherence to Carespark’s policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to, PHI in compliance with federal laws and state laws in Tennessee and Virginia as well as CareSpark’s Privacy policies and procedures.
